Chapter 12 or 13. Or maybe 11.

I am posting this only because I haven't posted in forever. And because Linda said I should post something besides "I am a Bum" (which I am). Enjoy this chapter from my NaNoWriMo.

Herman waited as the monotonous tone repeated itself for the second time. Then the third. On the fourth beep there was a click as someone picked up the phone. A woman's voice came from the other end of the phone line, "UFO hotline. How may we help you? Remember that the UFO must have been seen within the past week or it is not useful to our UFO tracking needs."
"Yeah. Hi. My name is Herman Eggleston, I am currently in North Virginia and I seem to have found a UFO."
"Well I would certainly hope that you have seen a UFO if you're calling the UFO hotline," commented the lady as she smacked her lips like a high school girl on a chewing gum binge.
"No need to be rude, ma'am. I'm not a crazy hillbilly from West Virginia, I am a scientist. You may have heard of me. Herman Eggleston. Does it sound familiar?"
There was silence on the other end of the line.
"Alright, then. So you haven't heard of me."
There was silence on the other line again.
“Sir, do you have a UFO to report or not?”
“I do. I was looking through my telescope—“
“Oh, you’re that type.”
“What? What type?” Herman groaned impatiently. “As I was saying, I was looking through my telescope and I noticed some sort of unidentified flying object—“
“We call them UFOs.”
“I apologize. I was looking through my telescope when I noticed a UFO last night. I didn’t think much of it because it could have well been a rock—“
“Sir, did you see a UFO or not?”
“I AM GETTING THERE!” Herman was not very happy at this point and nearly considered hanging up and forgetting about the UFO altogether. He continued despite his growing anger, “Yes, well I decided to come back today and check it out. When I found it again, I noticed that it had entered orbit around Jupiter.”
“Sir, we only care about UFOs here on earth.”
“That might be so, but I have reason to believe that there is a space craft out there that may be heading towards earth.”
“I express my deepest remorse, sir, but I have to tell you that I don’t actually care about your life story. Nor do I care about your pet rock. The best thing I can tell you right now is that either China or Russia has sent another rocket or space hotel into space or that you are going senile. Either way there is nothing you or I can do. Please do call back if you get beamed up by aliens and you feel threatened by them. Now have a nice night and don’t feed the aliens.”
Click. Herman groaned again. He decided at that moment that there was no hope in society anymore. Not even the UFO hotline cared about his UFO spotting.

I am Such a Bum!

I know. I didn't post in nearly a week. Call me what you want, but I have lost the total enthusiasm that I used to have when someone mentioned my blog. Nothing has really happened in the past week...school I guess. You know, the norm. I don't feel like writing today, so this is it. Go to 6LCF for a better post, this week is our first theme week! That's all. Bye!

Man that was like the shortest post in the history of posts!

Monty Python

You know what is simply and utterly despicable? The fact that many of my friends have not seen every single Monty Python sketch, or even the Holy Grail, or any of his work! Do you know how hard it is for me to survive through the day knowing that they have not been in the presence of the wonderful wonders that are commonly associated with the enjoyment of Monty Python. This man is a GENIUS! Even his opening credits are funny (see opening credits of Monty Python and the Holy Grail). Every skit, nay every scene of every skit, nay! Every word of every scene of every skit ever spoken by the characters is hilarious. Repeat: the man is a GENIUS! If you have not seen any of his videos or skits, I suggest you look down the screen, yeah. Now, see that link there? Yeah, click on that. Now watch the video, if you like it, keep watching by clicking on part 2, then 3, etc., the first one is the Holy Grail, possibly the most famous of Python's works.

Okay, now if you liked that, here are some shorter skits first, The Argument Clinic sketch, the World's Funniest Joke, French Taunter, Biggus Dickus and then the Stoning, if you like them, watch them all!!! I command you! Go!

World's Funniest Joke:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhmnOpoGAPw

Remember, I did not make these videos, they are made by Monty Python. I do not take ownership of them, I just wish for the world to enjoy the splendors of this marvelous man.

Enjoy!

What had happened was...

I know, I know! It hasn't even been a full month since I've had this blog and I am already not posting! I am such a bad person! I have an excuse though, really, I do!
  1. My fish was sick and I need to take it to the vet, oh wait, I don't have a fish.
  2. I came down with Spring Fever.
  3. I had no internet
  4. I needed a mental day(s).
  5. My cats ate my computer.
  6. I had a lot of homework.
  7. It was Mother's Day!
  8. I was busy writing my 6LCF post.
Okay, only 5-8 are true...okay, 6-8, but still! I was quite busy and I apologize for my undedicatedness. Not much happened anyway! Mother's Day was fun, I made my mom breakfast and some cards and origami, stuff that moms like. Then yesterday I had more homework than usual and it was my day to post on 6LCF.

Weekly Read #3:

I sort of lost Vanishing Acts for the weekend, only to discover that someone had put it in my bookshelf. I mean, who would think to put a book on a bookshelf? Seriously. Taming of the Shrew is going on nicely, I like it a lot.

Today's Actual Post:

If you haven't read 6LCF today, go and do that right now, I can wait. Are you back? Good, so xiy mentioned cooking in her post, but she put it in nice terms compared to what really happened. You see, it all started on the first day of actual cooking when we baked cookies. Our cooking teacher lives in this fantasy world where butter, margarine, Crisco, and oil all just spice up the flavors of things and make them sooo much better. xiy, being the healthy person that she is put about 1/6 cups less sugar in her cookies so they wouldn't be so unbearably sweet, her awful partner did not like that. He made a big deal out of it and has been pestering xiy ever since. Then, today, we were making pancakes. xiy was doing all the work (with a little help from Partner #2) because Partner #1 (the awful one) kept doing everything wrong. xiy calmly tried to explain to him how it is done the correct way and he kept saying "Then why don't you do it?". So xiy did. xiy knows how to cook, xiy knows that when one pours a lot of batter onto a hot skillet that the batter cooks. So xiy put up with this all class. I was getting quite annoyed so I said something like, "Stop being so rude!" and then he was like, "Was I talking to you? No. I didn't think so." Which really made me mad, I wanted to punch him in the face. Finally xiy got to eat and left him to do the dishes, our teacher saw him doing this and was all like, "Ooh! Who is unit 6? Why are you making him do all the work?" Then she made xiy stay after class and dry a giant pile of dishes. I felt so bad for xiy! I hate cooking!!!!!

And now for something completely different; I am going to camp in about a month!!! I am so excited! I go to this language camp in MN. There are 17 different languages that you can choose from, I go to the German one because I am fluent...for a 5 year old, so I need to get better. This will be my 5th year going! One of my other friends (not a curly fry) has been going with me for just as long and will be coming too. Also, House and her boyfriend are going to the Chinese camp together! Isn't that sweet?! I am so pumped!!! Can't wait!! *jumps up and down*

I gotta go now! Byee!

Forgot to Post....

Hey, so in my rush to get some gifts together for my mom on mother's day, I forgot to make a post today. This will be really brief.

Okay. Tomorrow is mother's day. I am being the good daughter that I am and making my mother the cliche breakfast in bed and some home made coupons. I personally would hate that sort of thing as a gift, but moms seem to like it. I also made origami stuff in a pretty box along with two certificates of appreciation. My mom was sort of late in asking for something for mother's day, so when she asked for apple trees for our backyard (sort of random, I know), we had to rush to get them. The trees haven't come yet. Not good.

What else? Oh yeah! I went to see "Babies" the movie today with my neighbors. It was sort of like a documentary. There weren't any words at all (well there were but no commentary or anything). I had never heard of it so I didn't know what to expect. It was really interesting to see how completely and utterly different babies' lives are in different parts of the world. I laughed a lot at the babies and it was overall pretty good.

Other than that I didn't do anything today, so I apologize. I have to go eat dinner now (it's almost 10 and we are just about to start eating).

Happy Mother's Day to all the world's moms.

Happy Friday!

Yes, those lovely words, finally uttered once again! The weekend is here! *happy sigh* Today was the last day of school for seniors in our town. So instead of actually going to school, they sat on the front lawn of the high school (Lawn Day) and did not allow anyone else on. I cannot wait to be a senior so I can rule the lawn.
Today was really quite nice for me. I missed 2nd through 5th periods today, which is all of my actual classes except for Latin. But I like Latin. I got to miss these important periods today because my history class got to go to a mock trial (oh wait, I said that yesterday). It was really cool, and funny. We all got names of "witnesses" and other people and had to go in front of everyone. One girl was the judge, we had defense/prosecuting attorneys, defendant, and even a bailiff. I was just a regular witness person dude thing by the name of Sammy Shoes. I didn't have a very interesting part, but who cares. xiy on the other hand had by far the most funny part. Her name was Janey and she was supposed to be obsessed with butter. She said things like "I love butter. It is my favorite food. I eat it on everything," and her prior job had been buttering toast at Denney's. The reason why she had to testify was because she had been the substitute janitor for the day and had had to wax the stairs. Instead of using wax she had buttered them. I was dying laughing when she said these things. xiy could not stop laughing either and had to stop reading her prompt card over and over again so she could laugh. Then we got to visit the jail cells (which were yellow). They were gross and ugly and the bed was literally 1 1/2 feet wide. I really hope I won't do anything that will get me in there...

Another reason why today was so awesome was because we had band contest. If you are not 1.) a nerd, 2.) a band geek, or 3.) really bored with your life, do not keep reading. We were the first band to play (being that my band is the best of the 5 bands at our school) and it was really boring at first. We got into the auditorium and the judges looked at us. And we looked at them. And they looked at us. Then our director came in and we sat down! *gasp!*. Then we played our music. There weren't any major issues except that a french horn played a G in one spot where they weren't supposed to and a clarinet squeaked. Not only this, but we were extremely sharp the entire time because it was soooo hot. I don't know our score yet...but I'll find out.
I may not post this weekend (I may be out of town) so I will break my streak. *tear tear* It's all good. Alrighty then! Bye!!!

Oh, by the way, I thought I might add this image I found on Google of "Momo". Momo means peach in Japanese and apparently is a "super pop love hurricane". Just like me. Ooor maybe not. But that is her down there. She is almost as pretty as I am! (but I do a seductive wink better)

Peer Pressure and stuff...

They have finally done it. Lynda and House made me wear a skirt to school. Actually, they will be making me wear one tomorrow. If you don't know me, which you probably don't, I don't normally wear skirts. Ever. Only on special occasions like Jesus' birthday and band concerts. Tomorrow, however, we (my history class) will be field-tripping to our municipal court. We were told to dress nice-ish, this means nice top and pants maybe. Then after we have finished tripping (haha), there is a band contest that is hosted by our school each year. For that I must wear a black skirt and white top. So somehow in study hall yesterday, Lynda and House convinced me that I had to wear the skirt to school. So I am. That's how easily I get pressured into doing things. Tomorrow, for the first time in my middle school career, I will wear a skirt to school. *Sigh*. I can't even believe myself.

Okay, next topic. English. The only subject where I somehow manage to hate it and love it at the same time. For one thing, I love reading in English (and I suppose in the other two languages that I speak/study). I also enjoy writing to some extent, but not in any language other than English. Except for code. I tend to think of stories out of nowhere. If someone gives a random scenario, I tend to think of a story without even trying to. The negative side of English can be summed up in one word: essays. I absolutely despise essays, especially on topics that I am not particularly interested in. For example; essays on the Civil War. I don't see the point in writing an essay about how someone changed in the Civil War. I know that learning history is important, but writing essays totally ruins the fun. I enjoy learning about people in history, but once I actually have to start doing work for them (don't think of that sexually...please) I get quite disgruntled. I like that word. Disgruntled. I think of pigs when I write it or say. Disgruntled, disgruntled, disgruntled, disgruntled. What was I saying? That's another thing, I like learning new words. Now I know my vocabulary is not as rich as people such as xiy for example, but words are fun to learn, and to learn about. This sounds dumb. I am such a nerd.

Do you like listening to music? Yes, currently I listening to a song called Soul Sister by Soul Train. I absolutely adore it! It's so upbeat and happy and it makes me want to dance. If you want to listen to some good music go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVpv8-5XWOI. Do it. NOW! <3 Momo

I am writing in little font, in a light color. You can't see me! I'm a ninja!

My Poem:

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Oh wait...I didn't write this one. I am not very good at writing poetry, so I had my good friend Will write this one, it's describing me! Well, maybe not...
Anywho, I am in a very good mood and felt like expressing it through poetry...but that didn't work out.
GUESS WHAT!?!?!?! Nothing. Hahaha. Just kidding. I am getting a special award! You know what it's for!? It is for getting a 4.0 all through 7th and 8th grade. Poor xiy, she would have, but she got 1 B in gym. Such tragedies.
AND GUESS WHAT ELSE!!?!?! We have a real follower on 6LCF. Her/his (we don't know, it was not specified) name is Edna (that's a girls name, I know) and she is my new favorite person in the world, but not really. Sorry Edna. However, in honor, of you I will add you to my hug bucket list. Congratulations!

Sorry that these are getting shorter. I am quite busy but not with anything interesting.

Don't You Hate it When...

Alright, so I know that last Monday I said I would be doing like weekly topics. Well, that obviously is not going to work. I seem to be one of those people that doesn't stick with tings for too long, and besides, the names for each day of the week were really lame. So today, instead of having Tuesday's theme, I will be writing about things that I cannot stand. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please leave them in the comments section below. Ahem...

I hate when you hurt yourself and an adult goes, "Oooh, that really hurts." Because if they really knew what it felt like, they wouldn't just be sitting there sipping their coffee (like adults so often tend to do). No! They would be jumping out of their seats, trying to help you feel better. Sometimes when this occurs and I am in excruciating pain, I will shout, "NO! YOU DON'T KNOW!!!" and the adult present normally gets this startled look on their face...I don't know why.

In lieu of the last one, I hate when you hurt yourself and you are obviously in some amount of pain and someone asks you if you are okay. My response to this sometimes is, "Well, I'm crying, do you think I'm okay!?" For example, I was playing soccer on Friday (*shudder*) and I was playing forward. Someone passed me the ball and I started running with it. I was ahead of the defender and I was thinking, "I going to shoot the ball in 3...2..." and then, the defender pushed me. She pushed me hard. I flew into the air and apparently rolled about 5 times in the air, then fell on my face. Now, I clearly remember thinking, "Oh, crap, is that a hand ball?" Because my hand brushed the ball. It was not a hand ball. In fact, it was not a foul. I was technically not in possession of the ball (only the ref thought this) so it did not count. I digress. So, I had the wind knocked out of me, and I was crying (but not really). The ref came up to me and asked me if I was okay. I was thinking, "What the heck?! Does it look like it?", but just nodded. I hate it so much.

Well, I only have time for two examples today, I have to go to an ice cream social. Read 6LCF! Bye!!!

Quick Post

So today I don't really have anything to say so I'll just make something up....hmm.... I don't know what to write about. Well, today was Momo Monday on Six Little Curly Fries...that's good. I can't think of anything.
Have you ever heard of All Caps? It's a band. Yes, no...? Sigh. Okay, well they're good, I've had one of their songs stuck in my head for a while; Don't Unplug Me. It's about robot love. I like it. A lot.
Aren't these sentences so wonderful? My English teacher would be proud. Really. Just kidding. But seriously.
*Gasp*, you know what I realized today? J.K. Rowling's first two initials are JK. Like "just kidding". It's a message! She must be telling us that Harry Potter and the gang are fake! OMG! It's terrible news, and right after the anniversary of Voldie's death-day. Today is just miserable!

You know what else I discovered today? There are way too many blogs about people's pets. I love my two cats dearly, but really, I don't blog about them. There are especially a lot of blogs about cats. No offense to those people, but get a life! There was even one blog that I came across about a cat convention. They had frickin' hotel rooms for the cats. And everyone had a cat with them. Do you know how much litter that would be? And hair? And cats? A crazy cat ladies? And...moving on.

That's all I have to say today. Wait, no, never mind! Darn, I forgot. Oh right! I lied in the moon landing post. I do think people landed on the moon. I researched the Japanese pictures some more. There are in fact images of the landing sites from the Apollo missions where you can see the lunar modules. However, I still can't explain how the men survived the radiation. Okey dokey. That was exciting, was it not? Now go look at 6LCF. Now. Bye. Go away. Thanks. <3

Weekly Read #2

Okay, so I finished A Walk to Remember on Wednesday (maybe Thursday). It was really good, and sad, and romantic (what!?), I don't even like romance. Gah!!! In school we started reading Taming of the Shrew, which is exciting, I like Shakespeare. In addition I started reading Jodi Picoult's Vanishing Acts. She is such an amazing writer. Weekly Read is a lame name. K bye.

Already Sunday!?

Wow! This week has simply zoomed past me! I remember last Wednesday when we actually started Six Little Curly Fries, now it seems like ages ago! Last night after s'mores on the fire pit in my backyard, I slept in the little shed behind my house. This little shed is about 10x12 feet with a little loft. We got a few years ago and put tons of pillows and stuff up there so it is comfortable to sleep in. I was a little sore this morning, but listening to the rain on the roof was worth it. Today, however, was pretty boring so far. I went to church and Sunday school (which was actually really good, I feel like I got a lot from it) and then I went shoe shopping. I absolutely despise shopping, what with the ugly shoes, the shoes that look nice only on the shelf, the perfect shoes in every size but my own, the nice shoes that don't fit right, and of course the complete lack of shoes altogether (yes, one store didn't even have shoes). Anyway, my mother sympathized and let me get a frappacino (how is that spelled?). And then I came home and decided to reorganize my bookshelf. I really don't have too many books, I tend to either borrow other peoples' or go to the library. I organized them into religion, German books (I speak German), Mystery, a shelf for Dan Brown and Jodi Picoult to share, journals, older books, children's classics, and books that I have written myself. By books I've written myself, this also includes the ones from when I was like 5 and my NaNoWriMo. I also had two giant piles of books to give away, each knee high. I feel so accomplished now! I will be heading off to a soccer game in a few minutes and then I have to do homework. And remember, Mondays are Momo Mondays on the Six Little Curly Fries Blog (the posts may be the same on both blogs depending on how lazy I am tomorrow).

It's May!!!!! And Short-short Season

Happy May everybody! Guess what?! After May comes June, you know what that means!? NO MORE SCHOOL!!!! I am so excited to get this year over with! May will be a tough month as it always is, but then it's summer! I am going to try and post every day (I don't think that will work though...) until the end of the school year. After school ends I will be heading off to Minnesota for German camp for a month. I will be going for my fifth year in a row this year. House and her boyfriend are going to Chinese camp together (the two camps are with the same company) even though neither of them know any Chinese. Edit: House can say "hello, how are you?" and the response...but I think that's it. Then later in the summer I think we may go to Portugal for a mission trip with my church. Whatever happens, I know I will be super busy this summer and probably not post to much. Sorry.
Another thing, in response to a certain Hank Green's last video on Youtube, I would like to discuss my hug bucket list. A hug bucket list is a bucket list, but of HUGS!!!! So, people you want to hug before you die. The top ten people on my hug bucket list in no particular order are (and also, this doesn't include people I have already hugged):
  1. Dan Brown
  2. Nicholas Sparks
  3. The Green Brothers (and Henry of course)
  4. Natalie
  5. Weird Al Yankovic
  6. Megan Whittaker (she's freakin' amazing!!!!!)
  7. Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov (creator of Tetris)
  8. a President (any president really, Obama would be nice though)
  9. Buzz Aldrin (I would also ask him on my dying bed if he had been to the moon. Then, I would make a speedy recovery and tell the world!)
  10. The Mythbusters
Oh, and before I leave I have to give reference to the title, well the short-short part. As soon as it starts getting warm here, girls' clothing seems to decrease drastically. I mean, who wears shorts where your but hangs out? It's gross! And, girls start wearing tank tops that are, um, a bit revealing to say the least. Granted I am a girl, and granted, I do get hot (well I'm always hot), but that gives me no reason to wear but a square foot of cloth! I sound like an old lady.
Don't forget, Mondays are Momo Mondays with 6LCF, so check it out (again, the URL is www.sixlittlecurlyfries.blogspot.com). Bye!!!

Oh, and Happy Saturday!

TGIF

Ahh, Friday! Fridays are so relaxing...well, once I actually get home from school! After a long week of arguing among our little group, (sorry about that guys!) we finally settled everything with Six Little Curly Fries. Originally, our blog was going to be on Live Journal, we set it up and made the first collaborative post, when most of us decided that we really didn't like live journal. Yesterday, Lynda had to change the entire thing over here to Blogspot. We all seemed to be content with the new set up and Lynda was able to write her first post. Today House will write and tomorrow Virgil is up.

Another reason why I TGIF is because I got my NLE score today!!!! NLE, or National Latin Exam, is a test that is taken nationally (no kidding) around December...I think, I don't even remember. Anyway, these are 40 multiple choice questions that analyze one's Latin ability. Of the six curly fries, four of us take Latin. Carrie got a 31/40 (I think, correct me if I get any of these wrong), House got a 39/40, I got a 39/40 (and the one question I got wrong was really, really stupid), and of course, our amazing Virgil got 40/40, a perfect! I mean what else can you expect with a name like Virgil? Anyway, we all did splendidly well! Of all the 8th grade Latin students at our school, Virgil and House's boyfriend were the only ones to get perfects!

In addition...today there is perfect weather (it's very odd, I am a bit worried). It's a full 80 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny with blue skies and not a cloud in sight. I get to spend it playing a soccer game...! Normally I would be sad about this, but this occasion is special, we are playing a team with a girl that used to go to our school, which should be fun. We don't really like her, that's why it'll be fun.
That's about it, happy Friday everyone!

The Moon Landing

On July 20th, 1969, the world watched their televisions as men from America stepped onto the surface of the moon. The proclaimed words "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" will be forever be remembered by millions of people worldwide. It was a big deal,I mean, man had finally landed on the moon! Or did they?
I know some people will look at me and call me crazy, but am I? Have you seen the evidence? A few days ago, I would have told you without hesitation that man had been on the moon, and I would like to think that we did. Despite this astonishing supposed feat, I still have my doubts. NASA was in a race at the time with the Soviet Union. This was not any ordinary race, this was the Space Race. Americans had been falling behind the Soviet Union by a landslide, but as Americans, we had to win. After many failed attempts on the Apollo mission as well as 10 suspicious astronaut deaths, Americans were somehow miraculously ready for the moon. Scientists believe that the astronauts did leave Earth in a rocket, some even believe that they simply stayed in orbit for the time, but many believe they never reached the moon. Were we all fooled? Was the moon landing really filmed in the high deserts of Nevada (area 51) where no access was permitted?
Here is some of the evidence against the moon landing:
1. Radiation and temperature. On both the astronauts and their craft, there was only paper thin protection from the extremely harmful radiation from the sun. Not only this, but the suits the astronauts wore would not be able to keep astronauts alive in the extreme heat. The temperature on the moon ranges from −155° and 100° Celsius (−247° and 212° Fahrenheit). Such flimsy suits would not be able to keep astronauts alive in these temperatures.
2. Pictures and video footage. There are many problems with the footage of the astronauts on the moon. For one thing, the shadows. Many of the shadows fall in different directions as can only happen with multiple light sources (the Mythbusters debunked this one so it is not as important). Not only this, but the video footage is extremely blurry. "But they're on the moon!" you might think. This is what I thought at first, until I realized that a video camera is not connected to the Earth and should work anywhere, including the moon. Not only this, but in the pictures there are no stars, many of the videos that were supposedly filmed in two different locations are almost exactly alike, and there are incorrect craters. Not only this, but the cross hairs etched into the cameras are somehow behind certain objects. This would be impossible unless they were edited in. There is also no landing craters on any of the pictures of the 6 sights that men had supposedly walked. In addition, the footprints would have been blown away with the takeoff of the crafts back to Earth.
3. The flag. This of course is one of the more popular pieces of evidence. According to video footage of the flag, the flag flutters as if in the wind. Although the shaking of the flag could have been due to the astronaut's maneuvering of the flag, it is unlikely to have been able to move in that manner.
4. Japanese photos. A few years after America supposedly landed on the moon, Japan sent a satellite to take close up pictures of the moon. This satellite took pictures of the said landing spots of all of the Apollo missions. Guess what they found. Nothing. There were no abandoned moon rovers, there were no LEMs, there was nothing but moon rock and dust.
5. There is an animal in the footage! That's right. Unless there are aliens on the moon, the footage was filmed in area 51. To see the actual footage go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMINSD7MmT4. At 0:55 watch on the left hand side behind the astronaut. You can see an animal running across the screen.

I am really sorry to disappoint anyone who thinks the moon landing is true, I won't make you you believe anything, but it may be hard to ignore the evidence now. I don't think anyone but those involved will ever know the truth. I wish we could know.

Six Little Curly Fries

Yes, that is right, six little curly fries. This is a brand new concept created in part (it was my idea) by me. "What the heck?" Is probably a good response to this blog as of now. BUT DON'T LEAVE YET! Okay, so Six Little Curly Fries is a new blog. Sadly, it will be created as a live journal and not here on this lovely site. It isn't just any blog though! It will be a collaborative blog written in part by me, and in the other 5 parts by my very best friends. We came up with this idea today at lunch, we all (excluding two of us) have blogs/live journals and were discussing them. I was sitting there munching my granola bar when I said, "Oh my goodness, you know what would be so cool? If we made a blog all together!" Everyone squealed at the splendid notion and the planning began. What would it be called? Who would have what days? What website would we use? What are the rules? Within the next few minutes we decided on the name Six Little Curly Fries (they are so scrumptious tasting at our school). We all decided on days that we would write on. I am on Mondays so you check it out then (well really on any days of the week) at http://www.sixlittlecurlyfries.blogspot.com/. Please check it out now. It will be awesome!!!!!!

Standardized Testing

Why, oh why must we be put through these treacherous, terrible, torturous tests? Going to public schools has a great downfall. Despite the cheap education and freedom that one gets at a public school, we must suffer through what has to be the most boring time of year. That's right, the time of year where we take standardized tests. This year, I was forced to take not one, not two, but three of these three hour long tests. Though they are extremely simple (this can sometimes contribute to the pain we students feel)they are simply too much boredom to bear. In a reading comprehension test(yes, reading comprehension of the very language we speak) some of this years' passages included off-gassing, the growing, harvesting, and use of cloves, and a girl telling of her school choir getting honorable mention at a singing competition. These painfully boring passages, paired with their poorly worded, yet simple questions can make for a terrible way to spend the day. But wait! That's not all, not only are there multiple choice questions to savor in, but short answer and extended response. These are the terribly pointless writing prompts with topics such as identifying a simile in the story and writing about it. Oh, the horrors of these tests. *(sarcastically)* I would just love to thank the government for giving me this opportunity to be tortured and abused for the good of discovering how well a teacher teaches. Thank you, really, I am just so happy that I get to take these each and every year! I am terribly sad that I no longer get to take them this year.

Weekly Read #1

In addition to the different days of the week concept, I would also like to mention what book I am reading for that particular week. That way, if I get any followers (that would be cool)I can get feedback on what books to read next. Not only this, but I can make sure that I keep up with reading in my busy schedule.
Recently I have been in a bit of an obsession with Nicholas Sparks. I'm not even a romantic person, but his books are fantastic. Last week I read The Notebook, this week I am reading A Walk to Remember and also a bit of The Last Lecture on the side.

By the way, don't expect to see the Weekly Read weekly, even if that is what the title suggests. XD

Miserable Monday #1

Today I was sitting in my math class, not really paying attention and thinking about this lovely little blog. So I pulled out my handy dandy notebook and was thinking of things to write about. I decided that in order to create some organization and order to this blog, I would need to create days. For example Mondays would be "Miserable Mondays". Each week there will be a different day (for example, next week will be all normal blogs except for on Tuesday, the following week Wednesday will be the special blog and so on).
So, Miserable Monday #1:
Pet Peeves. Mondays are always so miserable for me, they bring out the worst in me and make me bring out the worst in others. Some of the pet peeves that annoy me the most are the following:
1. Improper usage of words such as their, there, and they're, or its and it's, right, write, were and we're (yes people actually do mess them up, I don't how!)you get the idea. For instance; today in health class, there were three people who wrote "their bored" instead of "they're bored" on the board (there's another one, bored and board).
2. Asking a question that the speaker has just answered. For example; Sally says, "And due to all of these factors, E=mc^2 is a false statement." George raises his hand and says, "Um, Sally, yeah, does E really equal mc^2?" Ugh, it gets me every time.
3. Teachers that are wrong. In 5th grade, I hated my teachers. Especially my science teacher. He always told the class incorrect information and spelled things terribly wrong. He once spelled 'muscle' as 'mussle'. But even more so...
4. Student teachers that correct the actual teacher. If you know me, you know what I am talking about. In my American History class, we have a super teacher, we will call her Ms. Right. Unfortunately, we have a terrible student teacher. We'll call her Ms. Wrong. Okay, so Ms. Right is talking about Jamestown, she says, "I don't think any of you idiots have ever heard of this place called Jamestown-*" when in butts Ms. Wrong. Ms. Wrong says, "Well actually, I've been there and it's called Jam-es-town." And I was like, "WTF student teacher, WTF."
5. Last but not least, boys that say lol (as in actually speaking the letters, l, o, and l). It just should not be allowed. Ever. 'Nuff said.

*She didn't actually say this, it just seemed more entertaining than actual facts about Jamestown.

Real Rain

Finally! I got my thunder storm. It was dumped upon me like a bucket sent from the heavens. I was supposed to be playing soccer, but that didn't happen (which I am secretly happy about SHH! Don't tell anyone!). Anyway, we arrived after quite a drive (like 45 minutes) and the sky was gray...like it has been all weekend. There was a bit of rain and some low thunder rumblings in the distance but no storm. All of a sudden the rain came, along with really dark clouds and tons of lightning. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to go outside and had to stay in the car. I held my hand out of the window which was nice. I am so glad I finally got the real rain and the storm I was waiting for. *Happy sigh*.

Puzzled Puzzles

As I said yesterday, it was gray. It did not rain very hard so I had no intentions of going outside. Later in the evening, around 6, my parents went to dinner with some friends. My sister went out on a date with her boyfriend so I was alone with our exchange student. We were told not to spend the entire night on the computer/TV so I broke out a never before used, shiny, 540 piece, puzzle ball. What a puzzle ball is, is a much harder version of a regular puzzle[this one in particular being an ancient globe in Latin!!!! (How cool is that?)]. Not only do you have to sift through tons of pieces like normal, but you have to attach them to one another so they make a sphere. This took about 3 hours of concentrated puzzling until it was complete. The not only included the puzzle however, it also had a stand for the globe so it could spin around. I was so proud of it that I had to blog about to all 0 of my followers! :O Any-who, puzzles are just puzzling. You know, now that I have written puzzle so many times, I find that it is quite an odd word...
Oh and by the way, before I forget, maybe I should be more inviting if I want followers...I might have to change the sub title of my blog...

Hair

The thing I never understood about hair was if it is all over your body, why focus on the head hair? I mean why doesn't everyone just shave their heads? I mean, why don't people like style under arm hair? Or nose hair? What about that? Huh? Anyway, we all know that hair grows back one day, but I hate my hair right now. See, I used to have this lovely, long, wavy,blondish/reddish/brownish hair until a couple of weeks ago. My hair was like almost to my butt, so I decided to donate it. I have done this once before. I knew that my hair would be shorter, I knew that it would not reach my back, and I knew that I probably would not like it. This was all proven to be true. My hair is just long enough now to put it in a 'ponytail', if you can call it that. My friends call it my nub. I hate wearing it down because I look like a boy, I sometimes wear it in pigtails, but it looks odd. I wish hair would just grow faster so I could have my lovely locks back. :-(

Rain

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMIGOODNESS!!!!! SOMEONE IS READING THIS!?!?! Well that is just spectacular!
What is not spectacular is that today is gray. I hate when it's gray outside, especially on the weekend, when it should be perfect. On the other hand however, I love when it rains. No, not drizzling, real rain. Like if you stood outside for a few seconds, you would return inside soaked. I love that smell, that sound, and especially the excitement of running around in the rain. I'm not sure why. Well, one time when I was little, we had a swing set in our back yard. One day it was really raining and my sister and I went outside and played on the swing set until we were soaked to the bone. Oh, the nostalgia. Maybe it will rain today...
You know what else I noticed? While going through other people's blogs, I realized that there are tons on beauty and cosmetics and hair. Well I will tell you right now. I don't give a crap about that sort of thing. I can't stand it ergh!!!!
And another thing, I have a certain not-really-my-friend-but-I-still-hang-out-with-her-because-I-feel-bad who calls every weekend. Now granted, I am normally a nice person, but this, this gets annoying. She (we'll call her Lou-Lou) doesn't really have friends besides me so every other month or so I give in to whatever she is pestering about. Today, it's the movies. I don't want to go, but I don't want to be mean! Girl drama sucks. That's all for today...unless I post something later...bye!

Hello...?
Ahem *taps microphone awkwardly*. Hi there (woah this mic is loud). What's your name? [insert name here].I am the wonderful and spectacular (and humble) Momo. I have never blogged before and I apologize right now for my boring ramblings. I suggest you just leave right now, there you go...press next blog...there we go.

Hey! I told you to leave! *sighs dramatically* Well, if you must stay, I might as well introduce myself. As I said, my name is Momo. I ride the unicycle, I enjoy reading, writing...ish, being with friends, science, math, being a Nerdfighter, playing clarinet, and gads more. I live in the USA...in a city...by a lake...with some buildings, okay I'll shut up. Sorry.
Next topic! I have two cats (Polly and Nellie), a mommy, a dad, a sister, and currently an exchange student. Alright, I bet you are bored already. Okay, sorry. I feel really stupid talking to myself. Hmmph. If you actually manage to read this, respond in the comments!
